Sara Hamilton created Family Office Exchange in 1989 to serve the unique needs of multi-generational families who held significant liquidity outside their operating businesses.
In 1993, Sara helped launch FOX Venture Partners, the precursor to FLAG Venture Partners, to pool purchasing power for private investors who had lost access to venture capital investment opportunities due to the growing influence of institutional buyers. Her interest in the Deal Exchange Network is sparked by seeing a similar market need for using pooled purchasing power to develop an efficient marketplace for accessing direct investments and unique private business opportunities.
Among Sara’s other achievements are the following:
- Co Author of Family Legacy and Leadership: Preserving True Family Wealth in Challenging Times, © 2010, Wiley & Sons.
- Executive Education faculty of the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business
- Each year since 2009, Ms. Hamilton was named one of the “Top 50 Women in Wealth Management” by Wealth Manager.
- Editorial boards of the Journal of Wealth Management and Trusts and Estates magazines.
Sara graduated with a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and holds an MBA from the University of North Florida.
